Automatic Matching - AMT is an email alert system, allowing Network clients to monitor all of the Technology Offers and Technology Requests that are uploaded on to the Network based on their individual interests.
Expression of Interest - EOI - An expression of interest is when a company or an individual is interested in receiving more information regarding a published Technology Offer or Technology Request.
Framework Programme (FP6, FP7) - The FP is the EU’s main instrument for research funding in Europe. FPs cover a period of five years with the last year of one FP and the first year of the following FP overlapping. FPs have been implemented since 1984. FP6 has been fully operational as of January 1, 2003, and aimed to contribute to the creation of a true “European Research Area” (ERA). FP7 is designed to respond to Europe's employment needs, competitiveness and quality of life, and will run from 2007-2013.
Innovation - The creation, development and implementation of a new product, process or service, with the aim of improving efficiency, effectiveness or competitive advantage. Innovation may apply to products, services, manufacturing processes, managerial processes or the design of an organisation.
Technology experts - The trained personnel working at your local Enterprise Europe office that can provide you with the information you need to locate the partner or technology you need in Europe.
Technology Offer - TOs represent the innovative technology that a company has developed and is now offering to a strategic partner for further development, licensing agreements, joint ventures, etc.
Technology Request - TRs represent the immediate requirement of a company for a specific technology to fill a need that has arisen.
